THIXATROL® 5050W is a modified EVA copolymer emulsion for enhancing orientation of metallic & pearlescent pigments in coating films through particle’s steric hindrance mechanism. It is suitable for the majority of water borne metallic paint systems.

    • Excellent metallic pigments orientation through controlled structure recovery and efficient particles’ movement restriction after application
    • Slight effect on low shear viscosity at increased dosage levels
    • Can be used with thixotropic additives to obtain the best metallic orientation result. Compared with clay additives, THIXATROL® 5050W is less likely to cause issues such as water separation, post-thickening, and excessive viscosity build at high dosage levels

    • Recommended pH range at 9.0 - 9.5 for optimum performance
